STORYLINE:

As an old dictum tells us, it's better to be safe than sorry, but is it true indeed? For sure we all had our moments of reflection about what we could have done differently, but does differently mean better? Can those reflections help to foreseen the consequences of a flimsy decision? What if.... during one day we could visualize situations created by our own minds? What if you could see what could have happened? Is analyzing and imagining helpful, or it doesn't lead to anything good?

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Kamil Wójcik is a student at the Art Academy in Wrocław, course Media Arts. The creator of many films and animations. He's experiments balances on the edge of a grotesque , dark humor and pastiche.

 

 

What happens if the children don't want to eat their soup?

STORYLINE:

It's a dark story about two kids and their grandfather. Naughty kids don't want to eat their soup and they are running away from the table. The grandfather magically creates a big wind and traps them. They will stay trapped in the soup forever. Disobedient children must suffer. As a writer Heinrich Hoffman wrote " Those who don't eat their soup must die".

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Paweł Prewencki - animator and graphic designer. Graduated from and Art University in Poznań ,faculty animated films. In 2010 he worked as an assistant in design institute in Koszalin. In 2011-2012 he made his own animation workshops in Gorzów. Currently he is running Fifne - studio.

Quieter and quieter

STORYLINE:

Film tells a story about the little girl's lonely journey taken in her dreams. she attempts to find a special bird which is supposed to make another, sick from sadness, human being happy which and as it turns out it is she herself. Animated film created using stop-motion method.

 

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Kamila Grzybowska-Sosnowska was born in 1987 in Opole. She graduated from Art Academy in Opole (2006) and also from Art Academy in Kraków, faculty scenography (2011). Currently post-graduate student at the same faculty. During her master studies she collaborated as a set designer at WRiTV in Katowice and PWSFTViT in ŁódĽ. She was helping to create school and degree studys, among others Marcin Maziarzewski's " Bad Words" or Mariusza Grzegorzka's "Twilight". In 2010 she was an assistant of a scenograph Ryszard Melliwa at the Jacek Bromski movie " uwikłanie". Three years ago she took an interest in stop motion animation and she began to produce a doll movie based on the motives of Yukio Mishima's drama „fan” in which you could hear a voice of Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda ( The final cut was released two years later). The next film "quieter and quieter" came into being as her her master's thesis and was based on her own script inspired by " the blue bird" ” by M. Meaterlinck. Film was honored at the nationwide exhibition " the best degrees of the Art Academy"2011. It was displayed at many festiwals, among others such as: 2 Se-Ma-For festival and 3 International Animated Film Festival „Tofuzi” at which it has won an honourable. Lately realized with her husband Mirek Sosnowski animated films has won the first prizes at the " Show us your horizon" contest during 12. International Film Festival " T-mobile New Horizons

Se-ma-for Film Festival September 2011/Contest for the best polish animation. „guieter and quieter" participated in Flip Animation Festival in UK/ Film display 28 october 2011. at the 3rd International Festival of Animated Films „TOFUZI” –Batumi 2-5 November 2011 Nomination for the best debut / film “Quieter and Quieter” was special mentioned by Jury and got diploma “Lyrical Film and Poetical Atmosphere” at Festival TOFUZI 2011. - „guieter and quieter” at Animateka International Animation Film Festival, Ljubljana/Slovenia. 5-11 December 2011. Contest„Central and Eastern European Short Animated Film Competition Program “.

GOOD, BEAUTY AND TRUTH

STORYLINE:

"Good, beauty and the truth" is a story about our modern world in which people take more interest in cheap sensation, dramas, bombs, and shootings than in good, beauty and truth. This is a story of a man who carries inside idealized vision of the world, who take up fight to defend his values and tries to spread them among others. Title good man fails in his naive struggle to make the world better, but in the end there comes a glimmer of hope.

 

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Director, scenographer, visual artist, currently living and creating in Los Angeles. She graduated from Film School in ŁódĽ and for 5 years she worked there for oscar winning studio Se-Ma-For. Author of many prizewinning films and videoclips at festivals in Poland but as well abroad. Laureate of such prizes as Golden Line (Kraków), 2 statuettes YACH (Gdańsk), Grand Prix Łodzi± po Wi¶le, Żubroffka, little FeFe, oraz Polish Filmmakers Association prize for the best polish film "Reanimation" 2010. Prestident of Lucid Life foundation, which promotes young polish culture in the USAGuest lecturer at CalArts CA i Collegium Civitas.
